Home Blessing
based on Celtic blessings from the Scottish Highlands
Get a bottle of diviniTree blessing mist and unlit incense or a candle. Close you eyes and imagine looking at the earth from outer space. Move down towards where you live. See your home with a circle of golden light around it. Now come into your house. Open your eyes and say:
***I ask for blessings on this my home, my hearth, my household.
Light the candle or incense and say:
***I ask that this incense (flame) might be blessed that it may purify and cleanse this home, this place.
Walk through the home waving the incense or candle around the perimeter of each room, working sun-wise through the home and through each room. Pick up the bottle of mist and say:
***I ask that this water might be consecrated that it may cleanse and purify and bless this home.
Walk sun-wise through the home, spraying Blessing mist into the corners of each room and say:
- ***bless this house
- from site to stay,
- from beam to wall,
- from end to end,
- from ridge to basement,
- from balk to roof tree,
- from found to summit.
Go to the place that feels most like the center, the hearth of the home, sit down and say out loud or to yourself the following blessing, imagining that it is being said to you:
- ***A blessing upon your home,
- A blessing upon your hearth,
- A blessing upon your sacred grove,
- A blessing upon your tallest grass,
- A blessing upon your faithful friends,
- A blessing upon your spouse,
- A blessing upon your growing sons and daughters (if there are children),
- A blessing upon your parents,
- A blessing upon your occupation,
- A blessing upon your goods and income,
- A blessing upon your kith and kin,
- A blessing upon this place of magic,
- A blessing upon your work within,
- A blessing upon you in light or darkness,
- Each day and night of your life.
